AMPUTEE REHAB: This issue of The VVA Veteran features a series of four articles illustrating the incredible breakthroughs being made in the design and manufacture of prosthetic limbs, along with the state-of-the-art facility at the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. These advances contrast with the very different experiences of amputees from Vietnam. We also report on one local VVA chapter’s mission to provide high-tech bicycles for recently returned veterans.
