Looking for anyone who served with my husband’s brother, Jack E. Burton, KIA July 1968 in Quan Nam Province. If anyone remembers Jack and could share any personal information about him and his death, your input would be very much appreciated. Trying to find anyone who knew Michael Conrad Roell, who served in C Co., 3rd Bn., 8th Inf., 4th Div., 1967. He died on the day he was a replacement. He arrived by helicopter around 8:30 and died around 11:15 a.m. He was KIA fifty miles outside of Pleiku, having taken out a machine-gun position single-handedly, hoisted and fastened to a tree, in one of the battles of Nine Days In May during Operation Francis Marion, April 15-31, Battle of Plei Doc. A letter was sent to his parents, along with a dozen anthuria purchased from Rusty’s Florist, telling of their son’s bravery and signed by the men whose lives he saved. Contact: Edward J.
