Trying to find anyone who knew Michael Conrad Roell, who served in C Co., 3^rd Bn., 8^th Inf., 4^th Div., 1967. He died on the day he was a replacement. He arrived by helicopter around 8:30 and died around 11:15 a.m. He was KIA fifty miles outside of Pleiku, having taken out a machine-gun position single-handedly, hoisted and fastened to a tree, in one of the battles of Nine Days In May during Operation Francis Marion, April 15-31, Battle of Plei Doc. A letter was sent to his parents, along with a dozen anthuria purchased from Rusty’s Florist, telling of their son’s bravery and signed by the men whose lives he saved. Contact: Edward J.
