Treasurer’s Report, May/June 2025 -   -

Continuing our Mission in a Time of Transition

VVA’s national officers gathered at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., on Vietnam War Veterans Day to honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. This tribute served as a solemn reminder of our shared sacrifice and enduring commitment to those who never came home.

We encourage all members to continue reflecting on the legacy of our fellow veterans. With this in mind, I want to take a moment to share some key updates as VVA continues its mission to serve, support, and advocate for veterans across this great nation.

I’m pleased to report that the FY 2025-26 VVA budget has been passed and that it includes $1.5 million for revenue sharing. These funds will directly support our state councils and chapters, helping them sustain local programs and outreach efforts that make a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families. This is a strong investment in our shared future.

The transition of Vietnam Veterans of America remains a top priority. We are making steady progress as we plan for the future of the organization, ensuring that our legacy and mission are preserved even as our generation advances in age. This work is being done with care, respect, and a clear vision.

The National Convention in August promises to be a landmark event. With timely discussions, leadership elections, and important updates on the future of the organization, this Convention will be informative and inspiring. I encourage all of you to attend and make your voices heard.

Thank you for your continued dedication to VVA and your unwavering support for your fellow veterans. I am always available to answer questions and explain my decisions and support for each of you.
