On March 28 at the State Capitol in Atlanta, Georgia, Gov. Nathan Deal presented a Proclamation naming March 29th Vietnam Veterans Day in the state. Among the Vietnam veterans present were current and former Georgia State Council Presidents Spence Davis and Allen Harvey; Graden Thompson, Secretary of Chapter 1070 in Blackshear, Ga.; and VVA members James Raulerson and David Register. Seated is Pete Wheeler, the Commissioner of the Georgia Veterans Administration.
