Seeking anyone who remembers a VC who infiltrated the EM Club on the base at Camp Tien Sha outside of Da Nang, New Year’s Eve 1967. I am a producer with Lou Reda Productions, the documentary film production company behind National Geographic’s Vietnam special Brothers in War and the History Channel mini-series Vietnam in HD. Trying to find information about the service of my father, John C. Davis, who served two tours in Vietnam as an SP4 or SP5 in 1968-70 and possibly 1972. Would like to hear from anyone who served with MACV Advisory Team #11, Da Nang, 1972, and knew Miss Trinh, the secretary. Trying to find Alexander Keene Phillips IV, who served with A Troop, 1st Sqdrn., 1st Cav. Regiment, 23rd Inf., Vietnam, 1966-68. The U.S. Coast Guard Historian’s Office, in cooperation with the Coast Guard Art Program, is initiating a project to depict Coast Guard personnel. We are calling on USCG Vietnam veterans to submit written remembrances of their service, along with any personal photographs that will help us tell the Coast Guard’s story. We would like to portray the personal aspects of the war: the day-to-day routine of life on patrol at sea, duty ashore, and downtime in country. Trying to find anyone who served with my father, John W. Boraski, in 512th Transportation Co., Vietnam, 1966-67. On September 2, 1967, my father was in a convoy that was ambushed on QL19 on the way back to Ahn Khe from Pleiku. They were bringing a soldier from the New Haven, Conn., area back to Ahn Khe, as he was due to go home. Looking for Michael Maguire (from Ill.), whom I knew when I attended North Texas Woman’s University in Denton in 1967-68. He was a candidate to become an Army helicopter pilot in Ft. Mineral Wells. Seeking eyewitness accounts from anyone who was with my cousin, Bruce Maddox, when he was KIA in Long Khanh Province, Bien Hoa, on February 11, 1969.  Maddox was serving as forward observer with Co. C, 2nd Bn., 7th Cav. during a recon mission. When his unit became heavily engaged with a large enemy force, he exposed himself to enemy fire as he moved forward to call in and adjust artillery. When a soldier was wounded nearby, Maddox administered first aid and moved him to safety. When he returned to his exposed position to continue his mission, he was mortally wounded.
