ON THE COVER: While stationed in Cu Chi in 1968, innocent of the fact that his base sat on part of an elaborate system of VC tunnels, Herb Lotz photographed the daily life of the men of the 25th Infantry Division. Five decades later, he exhibited those photographs in a one-man show at the New Mexico History Museum, and they became part of its permanent collection.
