Amdur to the Rescue

VVA Region 1 Director John Miner presented an award November 30 to Deborah Amdur, the Outgoing Director of the White River Junction, Vermont, VAMC. She was recognized for her leadership. On December 6 Amdur took over as Director of the troubled Phoenix VAMC. The very first week she held a meeting with all of the VSOs in the area. Her appointment was welcomed by Arizona State Council President Gene Crego, who cited an email he had received from Matthew J. Friedman of Dartmouth University, a leading expert on PTSD, who praised Amdur’s leadership and the improvements she had instituted for veterans.
